Pete and Camilla Grimm (Pictured here with a vervet in her blouse and a giraffe nearby at Lapolosa Wilderness) founded the Lion Foundation in 2002 to help protect and preserve wildlife and habitat. The Lion Foundation does this by promoting awareness of conservation issues and recruiting volunteers who donate their time and money to specific conservation projects across South Africa, Namibia and Botswana.

Over the years, hundreds of individuals and corporate donors have contributed generously to these goals.  Over six thousand more participated as volunteers through Enkosini EcoExperience the volunteer recruiting arm of the foundation, run by their daughter Kelcey Grimm. Click on the link to view the wide variety of projects in Africa at which you may volunteer. Contact us directly by email at thelionfoundation1@gmail.com to contribute to the Lion Foundation.

For example, Oracle was one of the Lion Foundation's first corporate donors contributing $20,000 to help build the Education Center at Lapolosa Wilderness.
